Naja MacIntosh is a Criminal Defense Associate Attorney at Gonzalez Torres Law and a trusted advocate. Naja has experience in both private and public defense of clients facing criminal charges from traffic tickets to aggravated felony charges. Her experience defending clients at the Hall County Public Defender’s Office from arrest to trial shaped the foundation of her practice and contributed to her high level of expertise. Naja has a reputation for diligent and compassionate representation placing the needs and goals of the client at the forefront.
Naja’s legal career was inspired by her work as a registered nurse and studies in forensic nursing which focused on the intersection of health and the legal system. Her studies led her to multiple internships where she assisted with crime scene investigations and pathology procedures in DeKalb County as well as providing healthcare in the Forsyth County Detention Center. Naja’s contact with the criminal justice system in a nursing capacity highlighted the impact she could have on the lives of others through legal advocacy and inspired her career transition to law.
While attending Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, Naja distinguished herself with election to the Editorial Board of the John Marshall Law Journal where she was Legislative Editor and contributing staff writer. She was also presented CALI awards in Legal Research and Writing, Criminal Procedure, and Transactional Drafting and ultimately graduated with cum laude honors.
Since then, Naja has dedicated herself to criminal defense and providing the highest level of advocacy in the protection of clients’ right to due process at all levels. Her empathy, knowledge of the law, and passion for helping others motivate her to be a formidable proponent of her clients’ rights to ensure the best outcome possible.
